A MAJOR FIRST FOR PARA-DRESSAGE IN LYON
As Paris 2024 approaches, and in order to raise public awareness about the only equestrian discipline represented at the Paralympic Games, the Longines Equita Lyon, Concours Hippique International will be hosting a para-dressage demonstration in its main arena for the first time this year.
After the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup on Sunday 30 October, three dressage routines will be presented by French riders: Marie Vonderheyden, José Letartre and Johanna Zilberstein.
The FEI rules for parasports are the same way as for able-bodied riders. On the other hand, some artificial aids may be allowed during the classes. Notably, the riders are divided into different grades according to their disabilities in order to ensure the fairness of the competition.
