CSI 2* - Prix Département du Rhône
Jean-Luc Mourier wins the Prix Département du Rhône.
The Marseillaise rang out once again this evening in honour of Jean-Luc Mourier, following his victory in the Prix Département du Rhône on Quaker Brimbelles Z.
Starting seventh in the class, Jean-Luc Mourier posted the fastest round and never relinquished the lead. As usual, the rider from Haute-Savoie was quick around the course and managed to complete a clear round in 59''15. The only other rider to get below the 59-second mark was Alexandre Fontanelle, but he had and Ello Arthur had to make do with second place, with a time of 59''64. Third place on the podium went to another Frenchman, Edouard Renaud riding Sashka de Lot (60''15).
«I'm really pleased with my horse, who is only 8 years old. He had only competed in one indoor class until today, so he performed very well. I think he's definitely one for the future. Even though it's always great to win, wherever you are, there is still something really special about winning at Equita Lyon!» said the delighted winner.
